Want To Win Big? Go For The Big Wipe

I love the Winter Olympics. LOVE them! If I could slow clap for two weeks I would. Is there a single Winter Sport that doesn’t offer a chance for a wipe out? Bobsled WIPE OUT, Moguls WIPE OUT, Skating WIPE OUT, Skiing WIPE OUT, Snowboarding WIPEOUT. OK, there is Curling, but the whole sport is predicated on controlled wipe outs.

Summer Olympics are great and about four times as popular but there just aren’t as many opportunities to prove you gave it your all. Take a look at Men’s Moguls finals. When the bar is set high and fast times are posted, you have to fly down the bumps and give it your all. The athletes know this and they risk getting no score for a score that will win it all.

Adventure, by its very nature, holds the opportunity to wipe out. It equally holds the opportunity for triumph and glory. If you haven’t wiped out lately AND you don’t feel you’ve won lately, maybe you aren’t risking enough? Unlike the Olympics, in life, we win just for trying.
